The Shape Style trait refers to the visual style of the shapes, particularly whether they have a filter applied to give them a more speckled "paint" look, or if they are solid shapes with no speckling.

When the Shape Style is soft, it means that there is a subtle, speckled filter applied to each shape in the composition. The filter is a fractal noise filter with a low base frequency.
